The Shark Island Documentary Fund has been established to support Australian documentary filmmakers. We will endeavour to support films that have a positive and inclusive impact on the communities in which we live, and which aim to maximise their impact with the addition of a clearly defined outreach and education strategy. We offer education and outreach grants in support of those projects.
We are looking for high quality documentary filmmaking and will be attracted to filmmakers and stories that may be overlooked by broadcasters and the traditional funding bodies.
All grants from the Shark Island Documentary Fund will be processed through the Documentary Australia Foundation (DAF). All projects must be on the DAF approved list to be eligible to apply to the Shark Island Documentary Fund.
Grant size: our average grant size is $2,000.
